Kewtech has designed one of the world's only non-contact phase rotation testers, the KEW8035 requires no metallic contacts to work (ideal for safer and faster testing) and there's no need to make direct contact between probes and live wires in order to test.
To indicate phase direction, the KEW8035 uses a combination of LED and audible tones. Green LEDs are used for clockwise direction with an intermittent tone, while red LEDs are used for counter-clockwise direction with a continuous tone.
This tester is suitable for a wide range of 3-phase installations from 70V to 1000V AC and even comes with a magnetised back for attachment to a metallic surface for hands-free testing.
